James came to financial planning by an unconventional route – and that background is one of his greatest strengths. Before entering finance, he built a career in psychology research, developing a deep understanding of how people think, make decisions, and respond to uncertainty. When he experienced the impact of quality financial advice firsthand, he recognised the difference it could make – and made the decision to pursue a Master of Commerce, specialising in investment management. He graduated with excellence.

Today, James brings that combined perspective – behavioural insight and technical rigour – to every client relationship. He has particular expertise in aged care advice, a specialist area requiring both technical precision and real empathy for families navigating significant life transitions. His broader practice spans retirement planning, superannuation and pension advice, tax planning, wealth creation, investment management and insurance – giving clients access to comprehensive, connected advice across every stage of life.

As a Certified FAAA Aged Care Specialist and Justice of the Peace (NSW), James holds qualifications that reflect both his commitment to clients and his standing in the community.
